Leoni is one of the luminaries of the Greek house music scene. A man of multiple talents, he is not
only skilled behind the decks, but also an accomplished musician and producer, as well as a
successful club promoter and record company boss.His father was a member of the legendary greek
band the Olympians, and at the age of seven he started studying piano and music theory at the
Macedonian Music School. As a teenager, Leoni was in a succession of successful rock bands, but
on discovering house music he decided to become a dj. Instant recognition of his dj skills led to
Leoni being offered dj slots at some of Greece's top clubs, and between 1990 and 1993 he was a
resident at club Cocos and Splendid in Thessaloniki. Leoni then turned his hand to promoting and
soon found himself promoting and djing at some of the best clubs in Thessaloniki Troll,
Spacemobile, Alysida,Mylos,etc.He cooperated with Dmc Hellas as a club promoter and also
appeared live in large Dmcs music events in Thessaloniki and Athens. In 1998 Leoni began to
spread his dj skills beyond Greece when he appeared at Unity Of The Underground (one of
Germany's largest club events) in Dresden and Berlin.He took part in the 1st International Festival
of Electronic music scene in Athens.The name of the festival was "e - phos" ["e - light"] and the
whole festival took place under the license of the Ministry of Culture. He has since gone on to play
at many other clubs in Germany Zerma,Strasse e, Laboratorium, as well as djing in London
Turnmills, El-Passo, in Ibiza at Itaca beach club(San Antonio)with the well-known Dj Sammy and
Cyprus at Limassol(Golden beach,Ladys Smile).He plays at music events under the name Haus für
Electrobedarf at Lobby4 Färberei4,Reutlingen, Baden-Württemberg and Tonstudio club Stuttgart.He
has played too at the most popular club in Stuttgart Germany CLIMAX institutes and the Blechnerei
club at Konstanz.Also in Oslo Norway he has played at the most popular club The Villa and the
Café Sør. Guest djs have played with him at Decadence club,Mylos,Principal club Theatre and
many others in Greece includes,Marc Romboy,Superdiscount 2(Live),Juno Reactor (Live),Infected
Mushroom(live),Martin Eyerer(Kling Klong),Tony Thomas, Kasey Taylor (Vapour), Anton
Fielding (Echomen), Louis Paris (Plastic Fantastic), Flash Brothers,Pole Folder & CP (Bedrock),
Tim Healey aka Electric Tease, Sergio Fernandez (Beat Freak), Yunus Guvenen (Bedrock), Paul
Rogers (Sumsonic), Phil Thomson (Bedrock),dj Silversurfer(Crosstown rebels) etc.His radio
show "Fresh sound"& "Essential mix"(Radio Broadcast 88miso.gr)are very popular.As an
increasingly respected house music producer, Leoni is currently recording tracks for his own label,
UL (Underground Lessons) Recordings.Dj Leoni produces under such act names as Leoni,Oxi+de,
Oxid8, M8. In 2005 he released with his partner Andrew K the mixed compilation double
cd "FLAVOURS"which was highly rated from dj magazines,portals all over the world.In 2006 he
released the compilation "COLLEXION".In June 0f 2007 he released with his partner Andrew K the
cd compilation "Leoni& Andrew K present Underground Lessons Remixes.He has also released for
other labels, including Anjunadeep,Cubic records, Erase records,Loopsnoo records,Kaya
records ,Plusrec,Vise Versa music,UDTK records,Inceptor Records,Avioground records,Sa Trincha
